OUR TOP PICKS

If you decide to stay on for a few days there are lots of great things to do in Queenstown. These are some of our favourites...

Golf at Jack's Point

With a backdrop of 2300 vertical metres of the Remarkables mountain range and an armchair view of an outstanding lake panoramas, Jack's Point Golf course is one of the most visually spectacular in the world. As an 18 hole par 72 championship course it offers golfers an exciting challenge with five tee positions to choose from, providing all golfers an unforgettable golf experience.

The course has been designed around the natural landscape, with minimal excavation. The course measures 6388 metres (6986 yards) from the championship tees and is built on the most spectacular of Jack's Point terrain. Designed in harmony with the natural environment, the course weaves through native tussock grasslands, dramatic rock outcrops, steep bluffs and swathes of native bush to the edge of Lake Wakatipu. The presentation of the course is second to none, which makes Jack’s Point one of the world’s great golfing experiences.

Jack's Point is only 20 minutes from downtown Queenstown, the course is open for all visitors to enjoy 7 days a week in season. While this is a private course, we welcome the opportunity to show case our championship course to the golfing fraternity.

Please be aware you will need to book at least 2-3 months in advance.

Mt Edward Winery

Founded in 1997, the winery was originally started as a small personal project, a very traditional style of winery producing Pinot Noir and Riesling.  We have morphed into completely different growers over the last 2O years, driven by a desire to be progressive and individual.  Organically run, with each and every wine wanting to be a pleasure to drink.

Our heart is all about Pinot Noir, making wines that are just delicious – textural, subtle, moreish wines – each different from the next, each unique to their place and our style. We grow and make a variety of other wines to keep the head happy, everything from Pet Nat to Orange to Gamay to Chardonnay – we even have the odd Riesling for the dedicated amongst us.

We welcome visitors – give us a call first as we aren’t always here, send us a message or just a friendly wave will do. Whatever the case, our doors are open.
